Now's Wings

A gulf,

body

Stands between every moment,
And
I have this choice.

With each hesitated second, its width expands
Threatens to expose a secret
Volatile
Enough to shatter the life that’s become.

Not paralyzed, recognizing fear shakes my limbs;
Release myself from false directed expectation,
I     L     E     A     P
Across the divide on wind’s shoulder.

But to leap revealed the nature of a good secret,
Which froze me from dipping into its unknown
And gliding with now's wings, I did let go.
